A quick summery of the opening.
1. clockwise to unscrew the winder lever cap
2. simply, four screws
3. pin spanner and again clockwise
4. carefully un-glue grip by slipping a driver and slowly rolling to go around
5. set to 2000th and remove the three screws
6. the two deck screws and the winder side if off
...now what?
Well, first I should mention that the entrance into the entire camera was easy enough as none of the seals were fixed. I am clearly not the first person inside this camera and certainly the last person inside was not a factory tech.
...next, is the other side

I am planning to risk my camera and may destroy it in the process. If you are not comfortable working on a complicated camera or any camera, then the information within here should not be attempted. Please give Eric a call and he will solve it for you with the greatest skill or check your local area Pentax tech.
I would bet Mr. Hendrickson would not approve of what I'm doing.
