Two broken or not working ME Supers... I will have to get on with the job and document and CLA both of them soon.
For my repair pals that have yet to check in... I will return to the forum and try to post all the steps, but highlight the steps here as well.
The following will be copied from the original post more or less from the Pentax Forums... or at least the step.
1. Spin off cap clockwise (try with friction from latex glove, finger cots, flat rubber thing)
2. Small slotted nut comes off the same direction, clockwise. I have a specially ground jewelry priers.
3. So spin off the rewind knob by sticking a driver in the tines of the film spindle and spin off the knob counter-clockwise and you will see the slotted nut under. It comes off counter-clockwise.
4. Remove screws and don't forget the two to either side of the PENTAX name on the forehead.
5. Don't forget the screws to either side of the viewfinder.
6. You should be able to lift up the upper shell, but look for the shutter release pin. It is normally under the button, but sometime the pin is stuck to the release arm due to dried oils. Grab it a put it a side.
