Welcome... This is my little blog about stuff related to photography or around the subject of photography. I like to tinker with things as well as learning things to help me be a better photographer or better tinkerer? In this spot you will see some of my experiments and projects as well I'm sure some mishaps or outright failures. I hope you find here something that is interesting to you and drop me a note. Remember, I'm not an actual photographer nor have I played one on television.

Coming! A 6x7 75mm...well with some hitches...
Here is an example... I've been bidding on this for two years. Now I landed a lens at a good price and now the seller is telling me that it is not available. So the reason is that the posted item was a lens that had already been sold and the one he can give me a replacement, I have no idea of its condition. How is this happening to me again. I've been fixing my own for quite a few years now and that is due to the fact that few lenses that I get have nothing wrong with them. Example, A recent project I closed is a 67 135mm Macro that was filled with oil. The owner or seller had sprayed the lens to get it working smoothly and as a result, contaminated the aperture blades and optics chamber. That was six hours to disassemble, clean, reassemble and seal screws. My bill for that should be about $200. When the lens comes... will it be the lens I've been hoping for or any DIY project.
