My nifty MINOX GT... scooped out of the "To be Fixed bin".
It is getting warmer and the need to take pictures was eating at me as well as putting this back into service. I tried to decipher the great capacitor mystery and so far failed. Those darn circ 1980s codes that don't seem to correlate the any readings it get. I decided to try and check in with the man himself Don Goldberg of the Minox Repairs. I was looking for capacitor, but he pointed out that it is much easier to just filter the cell. I figure the error is about almost two stops and so that comes out to about .6 on the NR scale. However, I don't have a .6 or any right now. Oh that itch picture taking finger!
So this is what I found... and old piece of color neg that was denser than usual... maybe Fuji? I quick snip-snip and slid it into the waiting filter holder...yes is was designed for that, but I'm sure for calibration from the factory originally.
Speed test is saying that the upper speeds are still not correct, but they are sort of close for my needs and the FOMA100 film loaded today and ready to go.
...more later.
