Super Tak 2/30 - time and use.

Over time and with all the twisting that M42 lenses goes through that you can find little areas of wear.  Some screws were loose and that is normal given the age of the lens and that was hard to show with an image.  In the above image is the securing screws that lock the lower group to the body as viewed with the front group removed.  The three screws that secure it were fairly snug, however the elongated holes are a sign of much twisting.  Thread lock was applied to keep the front from coming loose easily again.

Another set of screws that are hidden under the depth-of-field scale ring.  Those screws are what holds the focus end to the aperture end.  There the lens had slight play and were easily tightened.  It was this extra movement that allowed the aperture lever to separate from the armature.

So in all the lens is all set.  Key screws tightened and the loose armature was adjusted  to grab the aperture lever more securely.
