So what else?
Bid and won another broken camera.... yes it is sad that I should be out shooting, but instead hunched over a disassembled camera.
This is gummed up with bad foam as it shows the symptoms. Much like the MG I repaired a while back. So the trick is to remove some key wires and pop the mirror box out.
