| Meet the new source of bumpers. As demonstrated by Scott_tcr at the repair forum |
Scott)tcr used heat shrink, but I thought I would try some sturdy cable jackets. This one held three wires inside and so it looks like a tiny slice of Jalapeño.

Now at this point, one could just finish. This is the common bumper issues for a ME Super, but remember that I switched cameras. Camera 1 is done as outlined here, however, camera 2 will continue on from this point and it has issues in the shutter assembly and the advance as well.
Hello MysteryOnion. I just wanted to let you know that I am in the process of trying to revive a problematic Pentax ME Super and your blog has been an invaluable resource to me. Have you considered putting all of the repair information in one long post? I could see that being used by many trying to fix this camera. Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteHello Sofa King, yes I've been looking to do so. I was hoping to find another body and this time do it from disassembly, wires, shutter, mirror, circuit, transport, reassembly. Currently, the LX project will take up a lot of time.
ReplyDeleteThanks for you interest and hope your ME Super project is easy going with a excellent payoff.
